Al Jarreau

Alwyn Lopez Jarreau (12 de março de 1940, Milwaukee, Wisconsin - 12 de fevereiro de 2017, Los Angeles), conhecido popularmente como Al Jarreau, foi um cantor estadounidense de soul, R&B e jazz. Versátil em seu estilo de cantar, Jarreau foi premiado seis vezes com o Grammy.

Como filho de um vigário, começou a cantar em coro de igreja. Estudou no Ripon College, onde cantou não profissionalmente com um grupo chamado the Indigos, até se formar em 1962.

Se tornou profissional após se juntar a um pequeno grupo de jazz liderado por George Duke. Contratado pela Warner Bros. em 1975, seu álbum de estreia, We Got By, alavancou sua fama internacional. Mas seu maior sucesso comercial e artístico seria o álbum Breakin' Away (1981), que inclui seu hit, "We're in This Love Together."
